Wedding Love, No. 2

SO excited that today is December which finally means it's officially Summer here in NZ. Summer is my absolute favourite season, and this one is already filling up with so many exciting occasions, I cannot wait! Looking forward to Christmas, family and friends gatherings, bbqs, beach trips, sun, sand, surf, the beautiful Gold Coast, and LOTS of Weddings! It is going to be brill!

I'm Back!

Hello!
Wow, I cannot believe it has been nearly a month since I last posted! Life is busy! I finally finished my second year of university last week (yay!) and now I'm on Summer Holiday (YAY!). I have been very busy working on all my assignments, shooting and doing other work too, so blogging has been pushed aside for a while but I'm straight back on the bandwagon now.
This is a shoot from October I did with Kate of some lovely friends of mine! They are so much fun and it was an awesome location shooting down at the new Wynyard Quarter and Viaduct in Auckland. See more here! I have SO many more shoots backed up to share, lots of exciting things going on! For now I'm going for a nice break at the beach over the weekend, so enjoy this and I will be back soon with more!! x

Wedding Love! No. 1

Wedding season has well and truly begun! Have already heard of new engagements, attended and photographed a couple of weddings in this month alone. Love is in the air! Haha full of cheese :)

I'm super busy with uni work at the moment as the end of semester is racing closer and closer. Eek! Cannot wait to finish and have a nice break. Yay for more summery weather too! Summer is my absolute favourite!

Feeling Inspired

Being so busy with work, uni, friends, family and life it is often easy to lose focus of why you do what you do. We all have creative blocks, get stressed, fed up with what we're doing and the odd meltdown too! Being at art school your mind gets a little messed up sometimes with all the analysing, researching, critiquing and communicating. I photograph because it makes me happy and I like to create images that I am proud of and that other people enjoy. As a photographer you are able to show people your unique view of the world. Inspiration comes from everywhere! Today I was inspired by a talk Chris Sisarich gave at Uni, showing us some of his incredible work and giving a lot of valuable advice and encouragement.  Who/What inspires you?

P.S. Still buzzing that the All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup! So proud to be a kiwi :)

Auckland Wedding Photographer- Last 12 months

Shot my first wedding for the Summer on Saturday with Kate Robinson, it was beautiful! So excited for many more to come. I am all blocked up with the flu at the moment which is super lame so I'm glad I'm on holiday and can recuperate for a while. However, it doesn't feel like a holiday with how busy I have been and I have so much uni work to do also. Cannot wait for actual Summer holiday!! So happy the All Blacks won the rugby, such a buzz at the moment in Auckland! These are a few photographs from some weddings I second-shot in the last 12 months.
